We have a car instance with 4 wheels and two seats. We have another instance of car with 3 wheels and 1 seat, and another instance of car with 3 seats and 2 wheels. The class, is the same, is the class car, and all of them can honk. But they are different instances of the same thing.

I try to explain: ‘Object’ and ‘instance’ you can consider them as roughly synonyms, but it is good that you know that the word ‘instance’ indicates the relationship of an object with its class, I try to give you an example: suppose there is a class House. Your own house is an object and it is an instance of the House class.
